1. Working principle

The return oil filter usually consists of a housing, a filter element, and a bypass valve. When hydraulic oil flows through the filter, the filter element will trap particles, and the clean oil will continue to flow to the tank. If the filter element becomes clogged and causes an increase in oil pressure, the bypass valve will automatically open to prevent damage to the system due to clogged oil circuits. However, unfiltered oil will directly enter the fuel tank when the bypass valve is opened, so it is very important to regularly check the status of the filter element.

2. Function of hydraulic oil return filter

During the operation of hydraulic systems, hydraulic oil may carry metal wear particles, dust, or other pollutants. If these impurities accumulate for a long time, they can lead to increased wear of hydraulic components, and even block the valve core or damage the pump body. The return oil filter is installed in the return oil pipeline of the system, responsible for intercepting these pollutants before the oil returns to the tank, thereby extending the service life of hydraulic oil and components.
