Analysis of the reasons for pressure build-up in hydraulic gear pumps
A、 Reasons for pressure build-up in hydraulic gear pumps
The reasons for pressure build-up in gear pumps may include the following situations:
1. Liquid viscosity is too high or too low

Improper viscosity of hydraulic oil can also lead to pressure build-up in gear pumps. Excessive viscosity leads to an increase in internal resistance of the pump, causing a decrease in pump output and resulting in pressure build-up. If the viscosity is too low, it will increase the internal leakage of the pump and also lead to pressure build-up. The solution is to replace the liquid that meets the requirements.

2. Leakage inside the pump body

When the gear pump is running, if there is oil leakage in the sealing components (such as shaft seals) inside the pump body, it will cause the pressure inside the pump body to decrease, resulting in pressure build-up. At this point, the issue of pressure buildup can be resolved by replacing the seal.

3. Import pipeline blockage

If there are impurities or blockages in the inlet pipeline of the gear pump, it will reduce the oil intake of the pump, resulting in a decrease in the output of the pump and thus forming pressure build-up. The solution is to remove debris from the inlet pipeline to ensure the normal inlet and outlet of the pump.

B、 How to solve the problem of pressure build-up in gear pumps
1. Choose the right liquid to avoid its viscosity being too high or too low.
2. Check the internal seals of the pump body. If there is oil leakage, the seals need to be replaced to ensure sealing.

3. Regularly clean the inlet pipeline to ensure smooth flow and avoid the impact of debris or sediment on the pump.
